My Holistic Journey began back in about 1996 however I ran it alongside my academic A-Level teaching. So, a teacher of both academic and vocational subjects, along with internal verifying NVQs I have also taught on the careers team in East Yorkshire. I've been a beauty and holistic therapist for fourteen years now and a Tutor of therapies for six years. I originally worked at the local college but much prefer offering these short, intensive courses, where I meet such interesting people and learn so much from them too! I try to give as much information and handy tips that I've learned along the way and I like to help each student gain a positive outlook for their new career pathway! I believe each person is unique and can achieve their full potential if they look within themselves and trust in their natural instincts to guide them. I am a Reiki healer and am hoping to train as a Reiki Master, possibly next year! I also run my own beauty and holistic salon and train regularly to update my skills. I originally trained and qualified as a lecturer in further education seven years ago and taught at one of Swindon's local colleges. I prefer now to impart the knowledge and wellbeing of holistic therapies on a smaller scale; to ensure students are receiving a more personal teaching experience; enabling me to cater for the individuals needs, learning styles and confidence. For years I have been inspired by massage and holistic therapies, both enjoying and benefiting from a wide range of techniques. My name is Michael and I started my holistic journey 5 years ago when my wife went for her first Indian Head Massage and she enjoyed the treatment so much that she asked me to enrol on the course. This is what i did and has you know it snowballs from there and you end up doing another and then another course. Since that day I have gained qualifications in Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Hydro therm Massage, Thai Foot Massage, Japanese Hand Massage, Hopi Ear Candles, and also I am a Reiki Master.
I also do Tarot card readings.
I live in the country side just out side of Haworth where the Bronte's come from and our home is surrounded by fields, and this makes for a peaceful setting to come and train with me and enjoy a relaxing fun day. Believe me once you come for a training day you won't want to leave.

I first trained back in 1995, and opened a Complementary Therapy Centre in 1997.My journey started in 1995, I was looking for a part- time hobby but after my first weekend realised Holistic Therapies was my Destiny so changed my career.In 1997 I opened a Complementary Therapy Centre and worked alongside 17 other fabulous Therapists. I decided to pass the Centre on when my family grew and now I have 3 lovely boys.I have been teaching for 4 years and I have been teaching Baby Massage since 1999 I love the Holistic way of life and love being able to pass my knowledge and experience on. I have recently started working at a Spa and this is also giving me a huge amount of knowledge and experience as I don't think we ever stop learning.

Hi I am a fully qualified and insured Beauty and Holistic therapist. After my first course in level 2 beauty I was hooked and did extras such as henna, smile gems, ear piercing and St Tropez. I then started to build up a client base whilst continuing to study for level 3 in Advanced Beauty. I also added Fake Bake, Nail extensions, Nail art and body wraps to my list. I bought an existing hair salon and introduced beauty treatments to its clients, and continued with my own training, adding Indian head and a Holistic diploma to my list. I really enjoyed mixing my own blends of oils and now try to incorporate these into my everyday family life. I then qualified in teaching and began to teach beauty therapy to small groups. I look forward to meeting some of you and hope that you will enjoy your training with me and start new careers of your own.

I began my holistic therapy career 16 years and suddenly found myself! I became involved in teaching at local FE colleges, developing my mobile therapy business and working as a freelance tutor and therapist for many local organisations. I have worked in a therapy centre alongside 12 other therapists, an acupuncture clinic and a local well-known spa. Three years ago I took on my first therapy room and now provide therapies and teach from two venues. I am passionate about what I do and love the mix of training and therapies. I am on a quest for knowledge and love to learn as well as teach, with my finger on the pulse I seem to find the "latest" treatment and introduce it to the North East.
